Biomass, or renewable energy from waste such as forest debris and agricultural waste is quickly gaining popularity as an addition to many renewable sources of energy globally. Coreplat helps customers and communities harness the potential of biomass energy by developing projects that generate power and heat.

Coreplat is pursuing different ways of financing this technology through power purchase agreements (PPA), turnkey solutions or an energy savings performance contract (ESPC). ESPC customers can fund a biomass project completely with the energy cost savings they receive and enjoy additional benefits, such as renewable energy credits and the ability to sell excess energy back to the grid.

1. Introduction
